Painting Pricing FAQs
Why does your price seem higher than other painters?
The biggest factors for the price of painting is value and quality. The truth is, we are not a quick fix.
We will likely be one of the higher bids that you get, but we can guarantee our work will stand the test of time.
A cheap $3,000 paint job that only lasts two years ends up costing you $15,000 over a decade, while a $6,500 job from us lasts 7–10+ years with no need to repaint.
When you pay a higher cost, you invest in durable, lasting work.
Do you offer financing?
Yes! We have partnered with Enerbank USA to offer a few different options. Click here to learn more.
How does payment work?
For most projects:
- A10% deposit is required to schedule your project.
- A payment of 30% is due the day work starts.
- Another 30% payment is due approximately half way through your project.
- The final balance is due upon project completion.
If your project is expected to last less than three days, we will only do one invoice at the end of your project.
Invoices will be emailed to you, unless you request paper delivery.
Checks can be mailed to our office, or be given to a team member. You can also request an ACH transfer.
Credit and debit cards are an extra 5% fee.
Why might the cost from another contractor be really low?
A low-cost painting project is done with little to no prep work and cheap products. These two factors do not provide lasting work.
7 questions to ask after receiving a low-priced painting quote.
How do I compare painting quotes?
Comparing quotes may be challenging and confusing, especially if it's your first time. How do you know if you’re comparing apples to oranges? Understanding what to look for and which questions to ask will make the process of deciding the best fit for you and your project easier.
Discover the questions to ask, things to keep in mind, and what should be included in every quote.
Will there be any surprise charges during my project?
The estimate you are given is the price you can expect to pay. If any unexpected repairs are found, or you decide to have us do additional work, a change order will be created. We will not add anything on without your approval.
Is hiring a painter really worth the cost?
Here’s the honest answer: It depends on what you care about.
A low-cost paint job might look fine… for a few months. But when painters skip prep work, use thin or low-quality paint, or rush the job to meet a rock-bottom price, you often end up repainting sooner than expected.
We’ve had customers come to us for a redo just 12–18 months after paying someone else. Or, they gave us a call because the painter they hired never showed up to work.
A cheap paint job is expensive in disguise.
When you hire Brush & Roll Painting, you’re not just paying for chuck in a truck. You're getting:
-
Prep that makes it last (we fix what others paint over)
-
High-quality products and materials that resist wear, fade, and weather
-
Professional craftsmen who treat your home with care
-
Zero shortcuts so you never need to repaint early
If you want it done right the first time, and done to last, we’re the right investment.
