5 Color Ideas For Your Home Office in Omaha, NE

If you’re working from home — and an increasing number of people are working from home these days — it’s nice to have a dedicated office space if possible to do all of your work.

When you’re working from home in your home office, it’s good to have a space that looks at the very least is not uncomfortable to look at but if you can have a pleasant aesthetic, it’s all the better for you as you work from home.

Some color schemes work better than others and while there is some subjectivity to it — what looks nice to one person might look outrageously bad to another — there are some color schemes that are just all around good for most people.

With that being the case, here are five color ideas for your home office in Omaha, NE.

1. Black and Blue

Though just hearing the words “Black and Blue” you may be thinking that you’re not going to get a pleasant office environment, black and blue can be a rich color palette that will liven up your office space.

One thing you can do is to paint your walls alternate colors (opposite colors being black and blue) and then you can choose pieces of furniture in your office that will be either black or blue.

If you really want to get fully into the black and blue color scheme, you can also paint your ceiling either black, blue, or maybe even both — patterns, etc.

2. Yellow and Black

Of course, the first thing that you may think of when you see the colors yellow and black is some kind of bee, perhaps a bumblebee or honeybee, but the truth is that you can get a nice looking home office if you use black and yellow.

The contrast of the yellows and the black can be really good for your home office in that you can use the yellows to contrast with the blacks to contrast and keep your home office a good brightness as it were and so that you can focus on certain elements of the office.

Black and yellow for your home office will lend itself to certain design themes such as diamonds, arrows, or even just lines which can draw you to the more important things in your office.

3. Red and White

Though red and white can be the kind of thing that might bring to mind peppermint candy or even the best kind of music that you might have ever heard, it is also something that will work for you if you like a little pep in your home office.

There are a few good possibilities for you to use if you have a red and white theme including using red for the walls (ideally to be used alternating with white as an all red wall scheme might be just a little too much red) as well as red for some of your office furniture and white for other pieces of your furniture.

Alternatively, you can use white for almost all of your home office and then use red a lot more sparingly to use as enhancement for various parts of the office, such as highlights on your desk area — this can be particularly good if you have a standing desk.

4. Green and Blue

Green and blue can be one of the nicest combinations of colors that you will ever find, particularly if you are a lover of all things natural — green being the color of the the trees and the bushes and blue being like the sky and the sea or rushing rivers.

5. White and Gray

White and gray doesn’t have to be boring or dull – you can alternate having white on one wall and gray on another, and have your various bits of furniture being different shades of gray — you should know that there are definitely more than fifty of them, contrary to popular belief.

Furniture is something that can look really good in alternating white and gray and it can make the difference between an office that is less than pleasant and more so.
