What to Expect When You’re…Getting a Painting Estimate

Booking your painting estimate with Brush & Roll Painting

So you’ve decided you’re ready to start the process of hiring a painter. Well, we want the painting estimate process to be as easy as possible for you! On our website, click the link to SCHEDULE AN ESTIMATE. Here you will see what availability we have, and find what works best for you. If you prefer to call, that’s OK too, of course. When our estimator calls you, he will also be able to answer any questions that you may have about your project. We do encourage our customers to look at our pricing page so you will have a general idea of what the project will cost.

After your project is scheduled we will send you an email with the confirmation time and date. You’ll also see the picture of your estimator so you know who to expect for your project consultation. You will also get three helpful documents:
1. Your Project Survey – Please fill the applicable project survey out completely and present it to your consultant when he arrives.
2. What Our Customers Say
3. Frequently Asked Questions about Brush & Roll Painting

The day of your estimate

When the project consultant arrives, you can expect him to greet you with a smile. Please provide him a space to set up his computer at a table while he asks some questions about your project. Together, you will also discuss your timing and expectations, along with the overall experience that we will provide you.

During an estimate for cabinet refinishing or cabinet painting, your will be able to look at samples and see the differences in the finish. If you are having walls and/or ceilings painted, he will give you recommendations on what needs to be done and how many coats should be expected for complete coverage. For woodwork painting, he will explain our multi-layer process that gives you a painting finish that will withstand normal, everyday abuse.

Finally, if you are getting an exterior painting or deck estimate from Brush & Roll Painting, your project consultant will walk around your exterior with you and go over all of the trouble areas where caulking is needed, or areas that may need some wood replacement. We typically do not start giving exterior estimates until early March, when the weather is better — that way we can take our time and evaluate your project the proper way.

What you can expect next

After your project consultant walks around and looks at the scope of work with you, he will then go back through and take measurements and pictures in order to put your estimate together. He will take a little time sitting at the table to figure things up, then go to his car to print the estimate. Once he prints the estimate he will come back in and go over the estimate with you.

You will be provided a folder with information on the different products we use, our certificate of insurance, and some references for you to check out. During this time, he will explain the details of your project with you and answer any questions that you might have. You will even have the opportunity to put on the schedule right there if you are ready to move forward.

Hopefully this information was helpful to you, and prepares you for what to expect when you are ready to have Brush & Roll Painting give you an estimate on your project. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
